In 1981, the cargo ship Dimitrios ran aground and was never moved. Half ghost, half work of art, it has become one of the most iconic images of southern Greece. It's ideal to see it during the "golden hour," when the rusty hull shines like copper.

The southernmost point of mainland Greece and Europe. Untamed beauty where the Ionian and Aegean Seas meet. The ancient Greeks believed that the entrance to the Underworld was located here.
